Context and objective
This project connects two topics: designing a DevOps toolchain for application development and deployment, then assessing IT service quality. Its objective is to link CI/CD automation, Agile practices and ITIL/ITSM governance.
Architecture or method
The DevOps section describes a digital-transformation toolchain covering continuous integration and continuous deployment. The quality section uses Lean, Scrum, downtime analysis and the PDCA cycle. Management follows an explicit cascade—vision, objectives, KPIs, metrics and measurements—applied to service commitments.
Implementation
The pipeline is broken into stages for building, checking and deploying the application. In parallel, the ITSM study defines indicators for three SLA processes: incident, change and request management. Ten standard KPIs are examined and placed in a Plan-Do-Check-Act loop so measurements lead to improvement actions.
Results and deliverables
Two deliverables structure the work: a DevOps assignment on the deployment pipeline and a Quality assignment on ITSM and KPIs. Toolchain diagrams and materials illustrating the quality approach complete them.
Lessons learned
Automation creates value only when its results are observable and tied to service objectives. The project distinguishes software delivery from service management while showing how Lean, ITIL and PDCA can use measurements produced by a DevOps chain.
